ADDA, the first Auditorium in Spain to receive the Q certification for Tourism Quality in the management of scenic spaces and professional events!
The Alicante Provincial Council Auditorium has become the first Hall in Spain to receive the Q certification from the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality in the management of scenic spaces and professional events. This recognition, of international relevance, entails compliance with the highest level of commitments such as sustainability, accessibility, security or attention to the public, among others.
The vice president and deputy for Culture, Julia Parra, has positively expressed “this distinction that accredits ADDA as a benchmark in terms of quality and opens a new door to endorse good management of the spaces where performing arts activities are developed, by being the first time that this important recognition is granted in our country ”. The deputy also explained that in January the process to obtain this certification began “for which a quality management system had to be implemented that encompasses all the general activity of the building with the aim of establishing a process of continuous improvement”.
On another note, the artistic director of the auditorium, Josep Vicent, has pointed out that “At ADDA we face all the events in the same way, seeking excellence in music and creative content with ADDA·SIMFÒNICA. Also from a technical point of view and from a responsibility point of view, in the way in which our audiences are received and in which we interact with third parties, in a transversal way, forming a whole for the Q for Quality”.
ADDA has also achieved the UNE – ISO 9001: 2015 international distinction, which has required the development of a management system that controls and improves the provision of comprehensive auditorium service, ensures legal compliance with key processes, and guarantees costumer expectations and create a framework for improvement based on the Sustainable Development Goals. The auditorium has also strengthened its commitment to excellence in the field of protocols related to personnel and their qualifications, the standards of care and the artistic offer linked to culture and heritage.
On the other hand, with this certification the tourist dimension of scenic spaces is valued and normalized for the first time, since the Q makes visible that culture is tourism and, therefore, that it can have the same tourist certifications as other sectors in this case in the field of scenic spaces and professional events.
Julia Parra appreciated the work carried out by ADDA’s team and recalled that “in July the auditorium was the first in the peninsula to be accredited with the ICTE Safe Tourism Certified recognition that validates the contingency plan against COVID-19 developed to ensure preventive measures and build public confidence. A clear commitment to accredit our cultural spaces as safe environments”.
