SYNOPSIS

10 SONNETS is a dance performance performed by two dancers and a musician around the sonnets of Garcilaso de la Vega.

For Garcilaso, one of his favorite themes are the feelings of absence, the conflict between reason and passion, the passage of time and the song of an idyllic nature that serves as a contrast to the painful feelings of the poet. He believes in an underworld that is not the religious Christian, but the pagan.

The sonnets we have chosen are great, deep, eternal, human and divine sonnets. It is a risky exercise to look for the poet’s movement, and we have found it, through ten “Garcilasos”, ten landscapes and danced scenes, along with his words in voice-over and the compositions of Juan Sebastián Bach.
