Fase Final de Grado Profesional del 21º Intercentros Melómano

On Saturday, December 10, 2022, the Final Phase of the 21st Intercentros Melómano (Professional Grade category) will be held at the Auditorium of the Diputación de Alicante (ADDA).

Starting at 10:30 a.m., the Semifinal will take place, in which the 17 regional winners selected by the regional juries will participate throughout the Regional Phase, held from November 12 to 27. At 6:00 p.m. the Finalists Concert will be held, in which the five participants selected by the jury in the Semifinal will participate.

During the deliberation of the jury for the election of the winners, the 2021 Winners Concert will take place (7:45 p.m.), in which the guitarist Stoyan Paskov and the saxophonist Reynaldo Rojas, First and Second Prizes of Higher Grade 2021, will take part, respectively. Among other works, they will perform Insomnias, eight nocturnes for alto sax and amplified guitar, commissioned by Intercentros Melómano to composer David del Puerto, National Music Prize winner. To close the event, the awards ceremony will be held.

The Intercentros Melómano is an initiative of the Orfeo Foundation created in 2002 with the aim of promoting the active participation of students from music conservatories in professional competitions. The idea is to serve as a practical experience for musicians, who can face an audience and a jury that values ​​their performance, not just their technical skills.

All students, regardless of their nationality, who are enrolled in any course of any instrumental specialty, including singing, in a conservatory or authorized music center in Spain, can participate in the contest. The prize is a concert tour for the winner of each category, Professional Grade and Superior Grade.

In its more than twenty years of history, the Intercentros Melómano has, between its two categories, more than 4,000 participants, from 85% of the conservatories and authorized music centers in Spain. The winners have offered more than 450 concerts as part of the prizes obtained.

The Melómano Intercentros is sponsored by the Alicante Provincial Council Auditorium (ADDA), the UNIR and the Montemadrid Foundation. AIE Society of Performing Artists and Percufest collaborate in the Final Phase. Likewise, it has two ministries among its supports: the Ministry of Culture and Sports, through the financial support of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, through of the concerts offered to the winners by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID), and with the Melomano magazine.
