MARTÍN GARCÍA GARCÍA. Piano

Martín García García (Gijón, 1996) is considered one of the pianists with the greatest international projection. Martín’s career has been marked by significant achievements, including his victory in the ‘Cleveland International Piano Competition 2021’ and his third place in the ‘International Chopin Piano Competition 2021’, where he also received the special prize from the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra for best concerto performance.

A graduate of the Reina Sofía School of Music, where he studied with Galina Eguiazarova, Martín was honoured by Her Majesty Queen Doña Sofía with the recognition of being the Outstanding Student of her chair. His first piano studies in Gijón began at the age of 5 with teachers Natalia Mazoun and Ilyà Goldfarb.

Martín’s recent collaborations have seen him perform with top-level orchestras, including the Symphoniker Hamburg, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the National Orchestra of Spain, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of distinguished conductors such as Mikhail Pletnev, Vasily Petrenko and Andrey Boreyko.

The 2025/2026 season is especially notable. Martín embarks on his eighth tour of Japan, where his concerts attract a total of 25,000 attendees, demonstrating his enormous popularity in the region. In addition to European stages, he will be seen performing in Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia and Australia, as well as his eagerly awaited return to Mexican soil.

Martín will release a new album in 2025, “Silent Music”, continuing the success of his previous recordings, “Chopin and His Master” and “Even-Tide.”
