Halls and Spaces
The Alicante Provincial Council Auditorium (ADDA) is located in the heart of Alicante and has become one of the city’s architectural icons. It is a modern building with clean lines and a solid, commanding exterior. The texture and color of the exterior materials, such as the white limestone, are reminiscent of traditional architecture.
The building is organized around a grand, triple-height hall, supported by the ground-floor foyer, its central hub. A central corridor runs along the back of this hall, traversing the building from north to south on all floors and connecting the private (administrative and artists’) areas with the public spaces.
The choice of materials for the finishes was made to draw parallels with the typical colors and materials of the performing arts: black and white, like the colors of artists or piano keys; Wood and copper are used as materials for the instruments.
The ADDA has 10 halls and a total area of 28,580 m².
