On Saturday, December 9, 2023 the Final Phase of the 22nd Intercentros Melómano (Professional Grade category) will be held at the Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante (ADDA).

– Day 9: 10 am to 2 pm (Professional Grade Semifinal) / 6 pm to 8 pm (Professional Grade Finalists Concert) / 8:30 pm (Winners Concert 2022).

The Semifinal will take place from 10 a.m., with the participation of the 17 regional winners selected by the regional juries during the Autonomous Phase, which took place from November 11 to 26. At 6 p.m. the Finalists Concert will be held, with the participation of the five participants selected by the jury in the Semi-Final.

During the deliberation of the jury for the selection of the winners, the Winners Concert 2022 will take place (8:30 p.m.), with the participation of violinist Pablo Turlo and pianist Alexis Pérez Arrúa. Among other works, they will perform Sonata, for violin and piano, commissioned by Intercentros Melómano to the composer David del Puerto, National Music Prize winner. To close the event, the awards ceremony will be held.

The Intercentros Melómano is an initiative of the Orfeo Foundation created in 2002 with the aim of encouraging the participation of students from music conservatories in professional competitions. The idea is to serve as a practical experience for the musicians, who can face an audience and a jury that values their interpretation, not only their technical skills.

The competition is open to all students, regardless of nationality, who are enrolled in any course of any instrumental specialty, including singing, at a conservatory or authorized music center in Spain. The prize is a concert tour for the winner of each category, Professional Grade and Superior Grade.

In its more than twenty years of trajectory, the Intercentros Melómano has, between its two categories, more than 4000 participants, from 85% of the conservatories and authorized music centers in Spain. The winners have given more than 450 concerts as part of the prizes obtained.

The Intercentros Melómano is sponsored by the Auditorio de la Diputación de Alicante (ADDA), the UNIR and Yamaha. AIE Sociedad de Artistas Intérpretes o Ejecutantes and Percufest collaborate in the Final Phase. It is also supported by two ministries: the Ministry of Culture and Sports, through the financial support of the National Institute of Performing Arts and Music (INAEM) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, through the concerts offered to the winners by the Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development (AECID), and the magazine Melómano.
